Felipe Arraño Scharager is Vice Chair of the Technical Steering Committee of the AI-RAN Alliance, where he helps define the Alliance’s technical roadmap and oversees its working groups as they lay the groundwork to transition toward 6G AI-native radio access networks. He also serves as Vice Chair of the AI-for-RAN Working Group, driving efforts to leverage and integrate artificial intelligence into RAN to improve network performance, efficiency, operations, and automation. At Ericsson, Felipe leads AI-RAN efforts within the AI and Technology Foresight organization in Ericsson Networks, bringing deep expertise in 4G, 5G, and emerging 6G technologies. His background is rooted in standardization, having previously represented Ericsson in global standards forums like 3GPP. Prior to Ericsson, he was with Orange in Paris, where he focused on the research and development of RAN features and deployment solutions. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Institut Polytechnique de Paris, an M.Sc. in Advanced Wireless Communications Systems from Université Paris-Saclay, and a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Chile.
